Default Workflow?

Is there a way to make a custom workflow the default workflow? We have several people with admin rights that can create a project. If they forget to associate that project with our standard (custom) workflow that then confuses all the users and requires me to go in and (re)associate and change all the different workflow steps.

I'm not sure I understand what you are suggesting. There is no way to edit the default workflow. If I copy it, modify it it still does not let me assign it as default. I did see another post on this site that specifically states that I cannot do what I want.

You could try to reconfigure the default workflow scheme to associate the workflow you want to have set as default with all the issue types.
