Here's the scenario:
Stash account integrated with Windows AD credentials. The password was recently changed as part of policy, and now the user is continually forced to answer a Captcha via the web interface (logout/login) for every single Stash-related action taken from SourceTree or Eclipse (e.g. one pull/push, then have to re-login and answer Captcha).
All browser data has been cleared (in all browsers). Password has been reset manually in both SourceTree and Eclipse. IT staff have cleared the Captcha flag and reset the max retries several times. Computer has been restarted.
No other applications that I can think of are being used to access Stash.
Nothing resolves the issue.
