Confluence v4.x has changed the email notification format

Satish Singhsamransukh March 26, 2013

Confluence v4.x has changed the email notification format. Our existing wiki pages were designed using old version of Confluence v3.x. Earlier in v3.x, notification was sent in textual format, but after upgrading to 4.x its in GUI form.

Is there any ways to switch back to old notification format by some config/settings so that we receive notification as in textual format?

Thanks.

I am afraid the current notification is in HTML fromat due to changes in storage format at 4.0. There is a feature request regarding this. For more information please refer to the following ticket.

We are facing the same issue after 4.x upgrade. Email notifications are sent in HTML format adn this is causing few formating issues. Our existing wiki pages are designed using Confluence v3.x. New format (HTML form) is changing the alingments etc. We are looking for the solution on how can we revert back to old format? Thanks!

Our problem is that the user is missing the old diff-style format that notifications used: changes at the top with minimal context, then full page. Is there any way to get this back in 4.3.7?

To clarify, the old notifications were *NOT* plain-text. He had color highlights for deletes/adds/changes, so please don't say it's because you don't support plain-text. You completely changed the format of these notifications.
