Confluence: Check Boxes

Tanner Campbell February 20, 2013

Hi Atlassian folk,

I have what I hope is an easily answered set of questions:

When using check boxes on a page, I notice that when you print the page (after checking some or all of the boxes) checked items print out gray - I assume to signify that they are done. However the actual check mark does not appear. Is there a way to make the check mark appear AND/OR is there a way to change the grey color of completed items to red? (changing the color is very preferred)

Hi Tanner,

Currently, neither of these is possible. However, I did create a few improvement requests for Confluence:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-29531

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-29532

Please feel free to vote on them, and/or add any additional feedback.

Cheers,

Gary

As I am typing this, there seems to be a glitch to force the text color to stay the color it was before checking the box.  The sequence to force it I believe is this.  It seems to be putting a space in before typing after the checkbox.  So you have your text, you change your text to lets say red, you create the check box for the line.  You check the check box and it all turns grey.  If you put a space in before the line and ONLY change the color of the text, NOT selecting the proceeding space, it seems to keep the text the original color.

It also seems that you can split the line so that half will remain the original color and the other half can turn grey.  But I am thinking only if the line was originally turning all grey before.  You would just highlight the text, minus the preceding space change the color to red.
