Competition for Vendors - Does Atlassian consider this ?

They might be some categories, like the most beautiful configuration screen :) or banner or even the most beautiful customfield.

Some of Marketplace's plugin has really good marketing stuff but some doesn't have any. Competion could cause some changes in this area.

There's already an addon competion - Codegeist .

Your proposal needs very careful balancing since it may lead to unhappy companies or individuals. We do not live on Atlassian plugins sales (would be very hard!) but others do. In the last months, Atlassian has invested a lot in providing fair amount of promotion to all paid plugins....
