Cannot get jira.field.resolution.exclude to function..

Adam Grace March 14, 2012

Hi all,

I want to reduce the available resolutions for particular transitions in my workflow based on user group. I currently have two transitions for the same transition, one visilble to design the other to dev groups. There are two particular resolutions these teams are to use and I don't trust them to always select the right ones.

So I'd like one to only have an "integration needed" resolution and the other to have "collaboration needed".

Is this possible or have I completely misunderstood the function of jira.field.resolution.exclude?

I've tried listed more than one ID for each transition property (I assumed the ID's were their placement in the list (1-10)?

thanks

Adam

IDs are not the placement in the list but the unique databse id. You can find it at the end of the url when editing a resolution.

Something like:

https://xxxx.com/secure/admin/EditResolution!default.jspa?id=10010

If not, find it from DB.

Cheers.. knew I had it wrong. Can I add multiple ID's to exclude? and if so, how do I separate them?

Yes - see this posting about either including or excluding via a workflow property.
