Can you create a Jira Project with Tempo internal tasks pre-configured?

Mark Heywood December 9, 2013

We have project managers and tech leads who work on projects in general but not definiete user stories.

Ideally each of our project would have an internal task line of: General Project Management and General Consultation for these people to log their time to and so we can charge the account code.

Given every project would have this it would be useful to remove the overhead of rre-setting this up on every project.

Is there any way to create a project template that would have this configured and so you really just clone that template every time you create a project?

Fine. I will get in touch with the Jira admins and see if they have something already and see if we can do a test.

Many thanks.

Hi,

I don't think you need anything Tempo specific. There are various project/issue importers available and they can probably be used as project templates. Also in recent JIRA versions there is a project template plugin point so you could implement something specific with a form to customize the template.

Cheers,
