Can't create projects

Michael Brossart October 17, 2012

I am working with a team to move our organization to JIRA. My team mates have created 5 projects, and I am trying to create 2 more. When I try to create them, I get an Access Denied error (It seems that you have tried to perform an operation which you are not permitted to perform). I am in the Administrators and Users global groups.

I am following these steps:

  • Select the gear in the upper right hand corner.
  • From the drop down, select User Management.
  • Select the JIRA tab.
  • Select the + Add Project button in the upper right.
  • This is where I get the Access Denied error.

Am I missing a permission or a step? My team mates cannot figure out why I cannot create projects.

Hi Michael,

Pleas enote that in "OnDemand", to be able to create projects you need to have access to all applications in your site.

Documentation available here. Refer to the "Before you begin" section

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Defining+a+project

You can read how to manage application access here
