Can STASH_HOME point to a windows share?

Hi,

I'm getting permission denied errors when pushing to my git reposotiry that is hosted by stash. It sais:

"unable to write sha1 filename ./objects/pack/pack-54a4301ef04968f2d4ad1d9c2a809d82adae16cb.pack: Permission denied"

Can this be because my STASH_HOME points to a windows share? If so, what do I need to do to get the permissions right? If this is not the cause, what else can be wrong in my setup?

Kind regards,login

Merijn

Hi Merijn,

It is technically possible to host STASH_HOME on a Windows share however it is not recommended. Hosting Stash on a remote disk is likely to decrease performance significantly due to slow IO operations.

From the above error message it looks like you need to setup the Windows user you are running Stash as to have write permissions to the directory.

Regards,

Tom.
