When I installed Confluence, I gave the original administrator account a name that does not conform to our username convention here. Since then, I created a new account that does conform and put it into the confluence administrators group. Can I delete the original account without impacting anything, as well as still have access to all administrator functionality? Is there anything special about the original admin account?
Thanks in advance,
-Bill
Hi Bill,
There is nothing special about the original account other than it belonging to the confluence-administrators group. You can delete that account as long as you do not have any content added/edited by that user account.
Since you already have another user account in the administrator group, it doesn't matter.
