Can I have a set of users who can only see the list of issues in a version

Julian Green (KMIS) May 22, 2012

I would like to give a wide circulation to our Releases (Versions) so that a broad audiece could see Project releases and list the issues in that version but not drill down and look at the individual issues themselves.

Does anyone haveany ideas

Hi Julian,

Here is the documentation where you can see the issues listed for a version in particular:

http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Browsing+a+Version's+Issues

The problem is that I'm not sure if you can configure the permissions to only be able to see this and not to enter the issue. You can configure a Security Level Scheme for the issues, but if a user can't see an issue then he won't see it in the tab indicated in the documentation.

Maybe this could be done with some kind of report.

Hi Ramiro

You have certainly pointed me in a useful direction. Whether I can do exactly what I need wil remain to be seen.

Thanks for the nudge.
