Broken PDFs.

I often come across broken pdf files downloaded from the Internet. And files contain very relevant information to me but I can't open them. Is there a recovery program, or some method?

And Acrobat can completely recover the file, as practice shows. Try to use standard tools Acrobat.  For example  PDF Toolkit.

And from programs I can recommend you PDF Repair Kit for  repair pdf files. It is checked on experience. Very powerful utility.

  1. Not really a Atlassian question, so wrong forum.
  2. Don't download random PDF's as there are security holes that would a titanic-sized ship to pass through it unnoticed
  3. Check this, might help you: http://superuser.com/questions/278562/how-can-i-fix-repair-a-corrupted-pdf-file
  4. If not try this https://www.google.com/?q=how+to+repair+broken+pdf
