Breadcrumb functionality - did it change from 3.5 to 4.3?

hans-peter.geier February 25, 2013

See attached screenshots. screenshot3.5 has our current appearance of the breadcrumbs (documentation theme).

Note that there is one level between ... and the current page, which allows to easily go one level up.

screenshot4.3 illustrates the outcome in the documentation theme of 4.3. The name of the parent page is not in the list anymore (without having to press the ... link).

Is this a change in the confluence 4.3 core product or the document theme? is it something I can overwrite somewhere? (configuration, velocity template?)

the mentioned screenshots can be found in this jira ticket: https://support.atlassian.com/browse/CSP-96866#comment-3382695

Is there anyone else who would vote to get the 3.5 appearance of the breadcrumbs back?

3.5: Dashboad > Home > .... > grandparent page > parent page > current page

(you would see grandparent page only for pages which are that deep in the structure, obviously)

4.3: Dashboad > Home > .... > current page
