Bamboo 2.5.x still supported in Atlassian Connector for Eclipse - v3.0?

Martin Burkhardt July 10, 2011

Running first tests with Atlassian Connector for Eclipse - v3.0 we're not getting the same views for Bamboo any more. We're still running older version of Bamboo (2.5.3). After adding support for Bamboo 2.7 and 3.0 to the Connector, has support for older Bamboo versions changed? More or less we're only getting the web application opened within Eclipse while before special Eclipse views were there.

Hi Martin,

I believe I have answered you question in the support issue.

We decided to not duplicate web ui and trim Connector to make it easier to maintain. As you may notice there is also no Crucible integration any more in the Connector v3.0.

There are no more 'open', 'show build log', 'add label' and 'add comment' actions as they were very rarely used according to our stats. All of that is quite quickly available from the web ui with 'open in browser' action.
On the other hand we have added our own 'test results' view which is now independent from JUnit. There is also support for stages and jobs which appeared in the new Bamboo.

Cheers,

Jacek
