Auto closure of issues in Jira on Demand

Rob Langley August 13, 2012

Hi

I would like the facility to auto close issues if they have been in defined status for a period of time. I note from a number of documents that this can be done with Jelly scripts, but as documented Jelly is not supported with an On Demand account http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand is there any other way to achieve this with an On Demand account?

Thanks

Rob

You can use JIRA Command Line Interface actions to do this running from your favorite job scheduler.

Hi Rob,

I'm sorry to say that I don't believe this can be done in OnDemand because the other option of using the Auto Transition Listener that is bundled with the JIRA Toolkit plugin, (which comes bundled with JIRA OnDemand), but it isn't possible because Listeners are not permitted on the OnDemand platform: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand

I have created a new feature request to ask that Listeners are made available in a future version of OnDemand, so I would suggest that ou watch/vote/comment on the issue to encourage our developers to consider it favourably: https://studio.atlassian.com/browse/JST-6015

All the best,
John
