Attachment Problems

I'm trying to fix a problem we currently have under our Create Issue form. Some people have reported problems of not being able to attach documents to the issue. They will go through and pick the document but it gives no notification saying it has been attached. I have tried on Google Chrome and there is no problem, but when using Internet Explorer, the attachments won't stay. Not sure if it's a JIRA or browser issue

Hi Ellen,

You might also want to check if your version of IE is compatible with the version of JIRA that you are using. Sometimes browser incompatibilty can cause a variety of problems

JIRA does not support IE in compatibility mode. This affects numerous aspects including attachments.

There is also a known issue with Issue Collector attachments on IE.

Make sure Compatibility mode is not enabled, and the settings for local path use (second link) are applied.
