Assign done stories to epics

We've just migrated from Redmine to JIRA/Greenhopper and are facing the issue that it simply isn't possible by no means to assign a done story to an epic as the stories won't appear in the backlog. Is that right?

Of course, the workaround would be to reopen stories, assign and close them afterwards but I still have the slight hope that there might be a smarter way.

That is currently true. You cna vote for https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/GHS-6854 if you wish to see that change.

Also if you do re-open and close your issues I suggets using the bulk edit functionality, and add a unique label to the opened tickets "to-be-closed" that you can use in a follow up bulk edit to re-resolve everything.

Ok, I've voted for the issue. Thanks!
