After installing, the atlas-version command doesn't work, as the bin directory is not in the PATH

This question is in reference to Atlassian Developer Documentation: Install the Atlassian SDK on a Linux or Mac system

After installing, the atlas-version command doesn't work, as the bin directory is not in the PATH.

Now there are specific instructions to remove it before installing.

What am I missing?

Uninstall it and install again. Check if you have java in path and Atlassian variables. You should also check maven path. If you iwll have more questions please ask.

Tried a re-install.
Does it rely on having something like JIRA installed first?

Hey Paul,

You don't need to have JIRA Installed first - can you tell me what Operating System you are running? And what installer did you use?

Cheers,
Melissa
