Adding of Greenhopper to existing JIRA project

Zdeněk Grygar June 19, 2012

Hi,

we have existing project in JIRA 4.1 with existing issues called "Story" and some subtasks called "Tickets". We are before start of implementation of the project. We would like to install Greenhopper 5.2.4 now. Will be Greenhopper work properly? Or is it necessary/better to create new project after Greenhopper installation, and then migrate data from nonGreenhopper project to the Greenhopper project? What is recommended procedure in this situation?

Thanks

Install GreenHopper anytime you wish, that's the recommended procedure. GreenHopper works as a plugin within JIRA (no matter which version of JIRA or GreenHopper you're using), which means that it gathers information of any projects or issues you already have and organizes it into agile boards and sprints, improving your work experience. There's no such thing as a "GreenHopper project". You work with GreenHopper boards, adding any existing issues or projects to it through filters.

Hope it helps!
