Access sprintreport for deleted board

I have been using greenhopper's rest api "rest/greenhopper/latest/rapid/charts/sprintreport?rapidViewId={}&sprintId={}" to get summary of a sprint. Now that the board is deleted, how do I get the sprint report for a deleted board? Note that issue still returns the rapidViewId of the deleted board. Is there another API that gives similar information as 'sprintreport' ?

If you can recreate the board using the same criteria (saved filter), the data should fill in. The sprint data still lives on the JIRA issues.

Thanks for your response. I am using JIRA's APIs to pull sprintreport for other teams and so, I do not have control over recreating the board. I need to get sprint summary information such as completedIssuesInitialEstimateSum, issuesNotCompletedInitialEstimateSum etc.
