What do you think about using Questions for Confluence to get ideas from customers?

Debra Mignola May 31, 2018

We want customers to be able to search on existing ideas (questions), and comment and vote on them.

We want customers to be able to submit ideas.

We want customers to automatically be notified when their ideas have been updated.

We want Product Managers to be able to score Ideas by various criteria, calculating average scores, to visualize and help with prioritization.

We want Product Managers to be able to create reports using metadata for ideas.

We want Product Managers to be able to see total votes for ideas and total votes from unique companies, so customer users need to be associated with customer Companies.

We want to push selected Questions to JIRA Issues and then two way sync certain fields.

Seems like it could work for that. You could get a 30 trial license and see if it would fit what you are wanting to do.

As @Davin Studer said, it could be use for the mentioned purpose, this way it will become a whole new advantage/usage discovery of confluence question. A little suggestion though, Always use labels. so that you can use confluence questions efficiently.

Agree with @Alana Fernando,

Use labels; this suggestions aligns with your requirement for Product Managers to create reports using metadata for ideas.

We have been using questions since years. It really reduce the no of tickets coming to helpcenter :)
