Upgrading from a Starter Confluence Server license

What happens if you want to upgrade from the Starter License?  Will we lose everything by purchasing a "new" Confluence Server license, since it's non-upgradable?

No, you'll be fine.  All the licence does is let you use the functions in Confluence.  Changing a licence has no effect on the data.
