Spaces order

Kimo Fouts March 29, 2018

Hi there.  I would like to re-order my spaces to facilitate client workflows.  Is that possible?

Hi, Kimo.

Are you referring to the way the spaces are displayed in the Space Directory? If so, as default, the spaces are displayed in alphabetical order.

What we could suggest is to label the space accordingly so that you are able to navigate the space conveniently. You could do it by the following documents.

* https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/use-labels-to-categorize-spaces-724764814.html

But in case that is not what you are seeking for, are you trying to reorder the spaces in your left sidebar? If Yes,

There's a suggestion ticket to enable the customization of this list though, for example, drag & drop as you can see here:

* https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-56005

However, until then, you may consider customizing this list by navigating to *Space Directory* and un-checking the star icon for all of them. After that, you can click each star - related to each Space - in any order you'd like. This would enable to add the spaces to the list and they would be displayed accordingly to the order you've 'starred' them.

Hey Suren

I've tried the manual method you suggested of un-checking and checking the stars in order,  however this does not work for me.  They just refresh into alphabetical order (even if I refresh after selecting the stars one at a time).

Do you know of any other work around?

Thanks!
