What could be the cause? Is it a plugin?

I tried the workaround...-Datlassian.plugins.enable.wait=300 and it still doesn't work.

I also found this: ERROR [java-sdk-http-connection-reaper] [osgi.container.felix.FelixOsgiContainerManager] doLog JarContent: Unable to read bytes. java.lang.IllegalStateException: zip file closed

I just upgraded from 5.5.3 to 5.6.5 the site initially came up, but the redirect that I had prior to the upgrade did not work, so I changed the web.xml file and ever since there are errors and it won't even start all the way up.

You can try shutting Confluence down and deleting the contents of: <confluence-home>/bundled-plugins folder <confluence-home>/plugin-cache folder <confluence-home>/plugins-osgi-cache folder <confluence-home>/plugins-temp folder Then starting it up to see if the issue persists. If it does, try reverting the changes in your web.xml file. If the problem is still there, then I would recommend you file a support ticket at: https://support.atlassian.com/ please ensure that you take a copy of the log files and include them with the ticket.

I also tried that and same errors. I'm trying to open a ticket, however the support page is down..says for about 2 hours. Sigh...is there a way to tell which plugin is causing the problem maybe?

You're right, the site is down right now. I am trying to see if I can get someone from the Confluence team to contact you via email.
