What happens to text with {task} tags if this plugin is removed?

If there are descriptions and comments that contain the task or tasklist macro, what would happen if I then removed the plugin?  Would users just see the words task or tasklist in brackets surrounding old tasks, or would the ticket look broken somehow?

Hi Jed,

apologies for getting back to you so late. It seems Atlassian didn't notify us of this inquiry.

If you uninstall the plugin, text would be wrapped with task in curly braces.
