Tempo: Can't track other users time

Chris Rowe March 27, 2013

I am in the administrator group which has all permissions for Tempo.

Everything was working fine a week ago and no permissions where changed that I know of.

I used to be able to plan time for any user now I can only do it for myself.

I have moved the support ticket to a bug report for this: https://tempoplugin.jira.com/browse/JTMPO-705. This will be fixed in Tempo 7.5.4. Thanks for reporting this, Chris!

You can plan for other users in the teams that you are in the Team leader role
https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO/Manage+Teams

Please also note that you need Browse users global JIRA permission
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Global+Permissions

Please verify the above

I am a Jira administrator and do have the "Browse Users" permission

I see the "Manage Teams" options in the Tempo menu.

We have the "Tempo default team" which contains the developer groups as Team Members and administrators as Team Leaders.

As I said before, it was working fine before. Not sure if there is some way to reset everything or start from scratch since we have only been testing it and don't have any data we need to save.

Hi Chris

Can you verify that the members in your Tempo Team are in a group selected in Tempo Time Tracking Permission https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO/Tempo+Permissions#TempoPermissions-TempoTimeTracking

Our free trial expired but I just got the trial extended another month.

Everyone is in the "developers" group which has the "Tempo Time Tracking" permission.

If I try to edit time I planned for another user (back when it worked), it lets me edit but shows me as the user, not the user who I planned the work for.
