Jira Client side license not installed - OnDemand Jira

Steve Batten October 16, 2012

I am trialling a version of the Jira Client from ALM Works with an OnDemand instance of Jira. According to the docs I just needed to install the client and connect to Jira as the plugin is automatically installed in an OnDemand instance but when I try to connect from the client I get the following message, client site license not found. It is not possible to activate the plugin in an OnDemand instance so not sure what to do next.

Steve, for OnDemand you need to install "JIRA Client Pro" edition, which works without a server-side plugin. You have apparently installed "JIRA Client Site" edition which also requires a server-side component to be installed, which is a problem at OnDemand.

Download JIRA Client Pro from http://almworks.com/jiraclient/download.html

If it complains that the evaluation period has already expired, please write to sales@almworks.com to get another evaluation license.

Hope this helps!

Have a look on this bug report: https://jira.almworks.com/browse/JCO-1209 does it help?
