assign a new owner to Opsgenie

Técnico I'm New Here Oct 04, 2021

How about how can I assign a new owner to Opsgenie, change the owner in Jira Service Desk and now I get an email that I should change the owner?
"Opsgenie account requires at least one owner. If you would like to remove, please assign a new owner to your Opsgenie account."

hello @Técnico,

Thank you for reaching out!  User roles in Opsgenie are managed within Opsgenie itself.

To make a user become an Owner,  go to Settings (in Opsgenie) > then to Users page. Only an Owner can change the role of another user to Owner.

Hope this answers your question.

Hi @Técnico ,

Only Owners can assign other users as Owners through the Opsgenie account.

If for some reason there are no Owners shown under the Settings tab >> Users tab, please open a support ticket with Opsgenie support here:

Our team will be able to help!
