Speaker wanted: Summit Europe Call For Speakers is now open

Summit Europe takes place 3-5 September 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. Call for speakers is now open and will close 03 April 2018.

We'll invite all community members to submit a talk and join us on the Summit stage in September in Barcelona. You are the ones with the most amazing stories.

This year we're actually looking for more advanced technical content in our a new "Atlassian Admin" track. It's the track for sharing insides and tips & tricks from experts like you.

We also have expanded our "Team practices" track. There will be even more sessions covering topics from how to build a more open work environment to how to scale autonomous teams. summit2018_fullcolor_center_rgb_1@2x-768x231.png

We looking for talks with practical takeaways for our audience. We believe everyone has a great story to tell, so don’t feel limited by the following examples. Here are a few to get the creative ideas flowing:

  • Teams: team practices, scaling teamwork, open work environments, etc
  • Collaboration: open knowledge sharing, foster cross-team communication, chatbots, etc
  • DevOps and Tools: build pipeline automation, continuous delivery tips, code collaboration, etc
  • Plan, Track, Adjust: workflow design & management, backlog grooming, planning together, agile roadmap planning, etc
  • Service and Support: support automation, ITIL, self-service, incident management, etc
  • Scaling Atlassian: high availability, scaling tools, and teams, performance tips, etc
  • Custom-fit: extending functionality, practical use cases, etc
  • Administration: upgrading, consolidation, monitoring, admin tips, etc

Keep in mind we get tons of amazing submissions. Here are some tips to make sure your submission kicks ass and stands out:

  • Find an easy and catchy title that explains your topic. Don’t try to explain everything with the title. Don’t underestimate the title. Take some time to think about it.
  • Use the abstract to explain what the problem is. How did you solve it? Give us tons of examples of what you’d talk about.
  • Provide 2-3 practical takeaways of successful use cases, best practices, teachings, or how-tos.
  • You can use the message to the program committee to explain a bit more in a casual way about the details of your talk.
  • Read the abstracts from Summit Europe 2017. This will help you understand better what we’re expecting.

So what are you waiting for? We're looking forward to receive your submission.
