This year will be my first time attending Atlassian Summit, yay! So I wanted to use this Friday Fun topic to find out more from all of you.

Are you attending? Is there anything specific you are looking forward to? If you have attended before, do you have any tips or suggestions for first time attendees? For those of you who haven't attended nor will be attending, please chip in still, what would you do if you could attend?

As I mentioned above, this will be my first time attending Summit, but I have been to Vegas. I am looking forward to meeting new people! Aside from that, I am not sure of what else to expect, but want to make the most out of this experience.

@Dharma Ramos great idea!  We need to get the hype train running for Summit!

Yes I will be attending this will be my second Summit and second year in a row.  I wasn't a Community Leader last year so I'm not sure what to expect or how that will change things (I'll let you know) but I do know that there are some Community Leader activities I'm looking forward to participating in.  A number of people I met at Summit last year will also be returning so I'm looking forward to seeing them again!  Beyond that I'm going to take in the entire experience again and learn as much as I can (and did last year) to take back to my team and help make our usage of the Atlassian products that much better.

As for tips, you asked so here's a shameless self promotion plug hot off the presses this week, I posted an article on Monday about that very topic: Tips for First Time Summit Attendees

I suspect I will be hanging around in the community lounge a fair bit so I'd love to meet you at some point!

Summit is amazing.

My insider tip from personal experience last year would be -

Bring. So. Much. Moisturizing. Lotion.

Especially if you're coming from a place that's normally humid.

Your epidermis will be eternally grateful.

---

If you're staying at Mandalay Bay, you can bypass the smoke-filled casino on the (many) treks between your room and the Summit by going outside past the pool area.

This year is my first time at Summit.... I will also be SPEAKING!

It is so exciting and I cannot wait.

my personal top tip having done loads of conferences during my career is to wear super duper comfortable shoes. Nice sneakers if possible.

also, don’t forget to take a proper break! These events can be seriously exhausting!!

Hi @Dharma Ramos

It'll be the first time too. I actually have a couple of articles as a first-timer too :P

What to expect at Summit 2020

How to prepare for Summit 2020

I'm a massive planner — and one thing I keep hearing is plan your Summit, be comfortable and download the summit app once it is released :)

Something my articles don't cover is, please have a sanitizer (you can never be too careful), lip balm, along with a lotion mentioned above :)

I hope to see you there! ;)

Cheers

Poorvi

5th Summit in a row for me, and I'm both excited... and not. It will be mostly working and networking with the attendees at our sponsor booth.

The exciting part is that it will be my first Summit as a Community Leader, so I can't wait to go to all the Leader events and meet my new friends (a.k.a All of YOU).

I can relate, we both attend and work different gaming conventions for our store. Attending is a lot  more fun than working. But it is good to make time for fun when you are working at the events, hope you get to do that.

It's a great experience even when you are working, but it's super-exhausting. Like one giant 96-hours day :)

Hello all,

I wonder if there's a way you could share the outcomes, conclusions of the summit for those of us that are interested to learn all we can, but couldn't make it?

Thanks in advance
