Permissions in Confluence for Next-gen projects

Mokie Small November 16, 2019

Having created a Next-gen project and linked it to a Confluence space;  what is the prevailing wisdom with regard to setting permissions in the Next-gen Confluence space?  Should groups be created (not required for Next-gen projects) for easier maintenance.  Or, simply give the administrator for the Next-gen project, permission in the associated Confluence space for adding users etc... ?

Using groups would be easier for run-support maintenance and if one had to migrate to classic... well the groups would already be setup...

Hello Mokie,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Pages on Software projects are great to share documentation with users. The permission for them to see the pages are a Confluence license and also the permissions to view on the Space and Pages.

Can you please give us more details about the issue you are facing?

Does the admin have a license and permission to the Confluence space?

Regards,
Angélica
