How can I use "Won't do" issue resolution?

Alex Hunter November 19, 2019

I am using a Jira next-gen project.

I would like to use the "Won't do" issue resolution as documented here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/issue-statuses-priorities-and-resolutions-973500867.html

I have looked all over and have no idea how to achieve this.

The end result should be moving the issue to Done column but marking it as "Won't do" so that it is clear the bug was not fixed/not relevant due to other refactoring rendering it irrelevant.

Hi @Alex Hunter

Next gen projects doesn't support "Resolution" at present when you mark an issue as done.

Next gen projects have simple fixed workflow which can't be edited.

You should use Classic projects in your scenario.

@Deepanshu Natani  thank you.

1. Is there any way in a next gen project to move an issue to "done" column without marking it as "Done"?

2. Can a next-gen project be converted to Classic? if so, how?

#1 : This is not possible. As soon as you move an issue to "done" column, its status will be set to "done"

#2: details for migrating between next-gen and classic projects are available in the following link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/migrate-between-next-gen-and-classic-projects-957974933.html
