Worklog Quesiton

Hey

Maybe I'm not just not seeing it, but how do you add multiple worklog's onto a single task in a next-gen project? 

Assuming I do two or more sections of work, I want two different worklog's on a task, so that it's clear I did two sections of work that were separate but related.  

Editing the work log to update is NOT an acceptable work around, because that's like editing a lab book entry, which is a massive violation of trust.

I don't think that's possible, even in a classic project. There's a feature request that has a similar request as you -  JRACLOUD-872 - Add type of work in Log work 

Some has actually suggested this add on - Tracking & Estimation for Jira
