You've rolled out Next-Gen projects and they look good. You've asked us to adopt them for new projects. We did. However, they are missing critical reporting that many of us depend on. Where is the value in an information store if you cannot easily make use of the data?
In other posts you've referred to inclusion of Burnup and Velocity reports being available because they are the most used, but that hardly seems helpful for those of us who lack the reports we rely on in other normal/classic projects.
It feels like we're doing your beta testing. That hardly seems fair since we pay the same for classic projects or next-gen projects that are missing the reports. To get the reporting we need, we have to either work up the stats manually in other apps, or we have to pay extra for third-party add-ons to get parity with the classic reports. In either case, Next-Gen projects are turning out to be more expensive to adopt for some users.
For those frustrated enough to change back, there is also no easy way to convert a Next-Gen to a classic project. See https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-to-Convert-Next-Gen-project-to-Classic-Project/qaq-p/1017675
Can Atlassian:
1) provide some confidence that you understand this is an issue that needs attention?
2) indicate how this issue is being addressed?
3) provide some idea on a delivery schedule. I know this is hard because it's difficult to commit to dates and times and announce them publicly. Can you at least say "next quarter," "this year," or "we have no plans to...?"
Thanks for any info you can pass along.
Great points and questions Damian. Still not seeing answers to WHEN the missing reports will become available for next-gen projects. We are also hamstrung by the limited reporting.
