cannot acces to JIRA console through the webBrowser (configuration steps)

Rodolfo Pacheco Alonso February 10, 2020

Hi everyone,
I have to install JIRA with postgres. I have already done the installation of postgres and Jira in the following scheme:
I have a virtual server where I install postgres and another server where I have already installed JIRA.

When I trying to enter the JIRA console through the browser(http://10.213.130.32:8080), the following message is displayed:
"can't reach this page"

So my question is:
Do I need to configure something else? or install something like apache tomcat to access jira from the internet?

I really hope you can help me because I am quite new to these issues.

I really appreciate any help.

Hello @Rodolfo Pacheco Alonso if Jira is up and running (first thing to double check)  you should be able to reach Jira onto that port. There might be a firewall rule that is blocking access to that url (second thing to check), usually this is the case since in services like Amazon or Google cloud, ports are blocked by default.
