I've been tasked with creating compulsory fields for any bug tickets raised in JIRA. I would like them all to be compulsory fields when raised across any of our work flows, but can't for the life of me make sense of the Atlassian documentation to piece it all together.
Can some one please talk me through step by step of how to do this?
Assuming you have global JIRA admin permissions you can just follow this page/section:
Essentially you just need to configure the Field Configuration for project/s in question. There is an operation called Require/Optional which need to be set as Require for any fields you wish to make mandatory.
