Hello Community!

We are looking for customers who use Jira Software and/or Confluence for reporting. We want to better understand your experience using one or both products to create status reports, visualize data or build dashboards.

What’s involved in the research:

  • Sessions are 60mins and conducted over video-conference, so you can participate from anywhere around the globe.
  • During the research, we'll start with a general chat to get to know you, then ask some questions about your experience using Confluence and Jira.
  • As a token of our appreciation, you'll receive an e-gift card worth $120 USD

Interested in taking part? Visit https://www.userinterviews.com/projects/_RbsNtZHAA/apply to fill in a few more details so we can make sure you’re a good fit. If you’re eligible for the study, we will reach out to schedule a time that is suitable for you.

If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this post or email me directly at lmehrkens@atlassian.com. I look forward to meeting you!

Cheers,

Laura

This has passed but I want to give you a quick bit of feedback, no voucher needed.

Reporting in Jira is awful because the dashboard is so limited in its layout options - no “rows” with different arrangements - and some of the core reports aren’t even available to add to dashboards.

Reporting in Confleunce is terrible because, since Cloud, plugins like Rich Filter can’t let users export the Jira gadget to Confluence as a macro - it’s too much of a development investment for them.

Layout is more flexible in Confluence, which is a big win.

The new smart link dashboard feature bridges the gap a little.

One feature you have half right is the option to preview and interact with a jira ticket without leaving the confluence page. Much better UX - but you have to hover over the link and select an option. Default is till crash out of one UI into a completely different one. What was the thought process there?
