Cloud Service Desk - Interaction with Data Center Jira Software

Hi, asking this question my company had been testing Service Desk on premise, but seen the costs of increasing the number of users we decided that the only option would be going Cloud.
We were using a starting licence, therefore I guess we won't be able to move to the cloud what we created on premise (but please correct me if I'm wrong and we'd have that possibility)
We actually use Jira Software 8.5.1 (Data Center) with 100+ users for all our main activities. If we move to cloud or create a new cloud site for Service Desk, will it be able to "interact" with our Jira Software (for example picking up users\groups etc) as it was able to do now as Data Center?
