Passwords not accepted in Azure Marketplace setup

I'm trying to instantiate Confluence using the Azure marketplace. None of the passwords I enter for admin credentials are being accepted. On the "Configure Confluence" tab it wants an admin password that "must be a minimum of 5 characters long". The password I've entered is definitely longer. On the "Configure Database" tab it wants a certain combination of upper/lower/number/special which I am entering. The configuration tool does not accept any password combinations I enter. Is there a trick here? Glitch in the marketplace applet? Suggestions?
