Anyone here provide Atlassian consulting services (set up, migrations, training, support, etc.) and live in/around the Greater New York City area?

Curious if anyone who does this and isn't listed on the Atlassian Partner listings, also?

Dave:

My company Ariel Partners does this; we are located in midtown (I live downtown) and yes, we are listed in the Atlassian Partner listings.   Your inquiry has inspired me to improve our listing-- it is way too bare bones-- so thank you for that!

It looks like there are more than a dozen good Atlassian partners with a presence in the NYC area, so allow me to make a quick pitch for why Ariel may be a good fit.

We provide Agile training, coaching, and organizational transformation using Kanban and Agile, and our Atlassian configuration and training is deeply informed by this.  That is, our job is to work with our customer to codify an Agile way of working and then make sure that Atlassian tools support it via custom configurations and carefully curated plugins.  I spoke about this at Team 2021 "How a well-tuned Jira can change everything for your team."   One of our Jira specialists designed several of the certification exams.

We developed a custom cloud-based platform for delivering hands-on Jira and confluence training with a fully configured jira Instance (5 teams, 4 months of realistic data, audit trails, Kanban, Scrum, Scaled, plugins, the works!) in Docker.  We will be providing these training classes to the public beginning this summer.   We are at https://www.arielpartners.com or sales@arielpartners.com Cheers!

@Craeg Strong - hi Craeg! Glad to see another fellow NYC business in this space! 👋

Just watched your Team '21 presentation and learned a lot:

  • I've probably used many of your "Top 10" Jira add-ons. Of the two you highlighted, ActionableAgile's was new to me! And I see its available for both DC and Cloud.
  • Of the many tips you shared, the Librarian Dashboard delighted me the most. I just made one, adding a line item to see the count of tickets in my queue that haven't been touched in 6+ months.

Have you shared on Community? Many tips from your presentation are a natural fit for our latest Friday Fun article, on productivity tips in Atlassian tools. Though, to me, it wasn't 100% "fun" since it wasn't 100% off-topic from our usual Atlassian topics. 😉 Feel free to share one or two tips in the thread!

p.s. As someone who's worked in the defense space, I haven't heard the term "CONOPS" in ages. Thank you for making me think of my past life TLAs! 😅
