wildcard searches on attachment names

I'm trialing the Search Attachment plugin and was hoping to be able to do a wildcard search on attachment names, but it appears it only work on the full name. I tried the following clause (using the JIRA wildcard character in my search)

issue in havingAttachments("name:*PartName")

hoping to find all attachments that had the substring 'PartName' as part of the file name, but this did not appear to work.

Is it possible to do this or will it only eaver work on the full file name?
