Tempo has "Internal Issues" to deal with events such as unexpected illness:
The main goal for internal issues in Tempo is to group together common issues so users can easily access those issues and log work on them without spending some time in finding them in JIRA.
These issues cover events such as vacations, sickness, and meetings. The remaining estimate field is not required for internal issues and therfore it s not visible in the log work dialog for internal issues.
