"Copy" object attribute in customer comment

Is there a way to use object attributes in comments?

For example i'd like to repost a url for firmwareupdates which is an attribute from an object which the user had choosen while creating an issue.

Hi Mirco,

There is no built in functionality to add comments to a ticket based on Insight Objects. This is however something that can be done using Post functions together with our and JIRA:s open APIs.

You would have to create a groovy script, where you get the data that you need from Insight (the URL in this case), and then use JIRA:s API to add this as a comment to the issue.

For more information about the Insight post functions, take a look at https://documentation.riada.se/insight/latest/insight-administrator-s-guide/insight-workflow-functions/insight-post-functions

We also have some examples of groovy script that can be used as an inspiration at https://documentation.riada.se/insight/latest/insight-for-developers/groovy-scripting/groovy-script-examples

Our full JAVA API can be viewed at https://documentation.riada.se/insight/latest/insight-for-developers/insight-java-api/javadoc

Best Regards
