json table macro format of timestamp

Uwe Gehring May 14, 2017

I am using the JSON table macro from Bob Swift Advanced tables for Confluence.

I receive JSON data with a timestamp attribute, however this has a fractional part ("123456789.0" instead of "123456789"). The formatting options of the macro allows for the conversion of date fields from timestamps to any other (i.e. "MX~DD.MM.YYYY"), however this does not work when the timestamp has a fractional part.

Is there another way to accomplish the correct reading of timestamps with fractional part?

Thanks!

Yes! This certainly is a good question. It got me thinking about how to solve similar problems manipulating field data or doing calcuations on it prior to display. We really haven't published an example of doing this, so, I used your question as an example of how to do this. See JSON Table Field Manipulation or Calculations.
