getCustomFielsValue returns wrong year

We use the "Send a custom email" function within a workflow transition to send an email that contains a date-value from a custom field. Given that the field contains a 2015-date later than the 26. december the function returns a 2016-date.

The date is written by using the following function:

<< issue.getCustomFieldValue(componentManager.getCustomFieldManager().getCustomFieldObjectByName("Beginn")).format("dd.MM.Y") %>

Is there a trick or is this a bug?
