email issue watchers when new commit is found by indexer?

Is there a way to set this up? Otherwise loving this plugin!

This is not possible on Subversion Plus, but you could implement it by using Subversion post-commit hooks, then parse the comment and send an email if some JIRA issue key is found.

But I'd only like to email the watchers of the referenced issue(s); perhaps your plugin could (optionally) auto-add a comment with the commit message and link to the subversion tab of the issue, that would in turn trigger a new comment notification cycle? Thanks again!

I would say your requirement might be considered as another feature related with the smart commits that some users have also requested.

I would say that due the current roadmap overhead, this might be supported in the long term.

using subversion post-commit hooks, I could parse for a JIRA issue, but then I'd have to use the JIRA CLI to add a comment to the issue (which would in turn email the watchers). A plugin can't automatically add a comment to an issue?

A custom plugin could do it. You might want to implent a REST service (or a simple Java Servlet) to be invoked from the post-commit hook. I know nothing about JIRA CLI, but probably it would also do the job even simpler.
