custom field values based on issue type

Is it possible with ScriptRunner to have a select-list custom field that has different values for the issue type?  I know you can do that already within JIRA, but it can be only for one issue type.  You can't have different values for many different issue types all within the same project.  So I'm wondering if ScriptRunner might be able to do that instead.
