Zephyr tests being removed from test cycle page

Oliver Gould-elia September 12, 2017

When I clone a test cycle in Zephyr then remove some tests I don't need, then all of the tests are removed on the test cycle screen.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Clone a test cycle with 20 tests
  2. Click on the name of the recently cloned test cycle
  3. Select 5 tests I don't need and select delete
  4. Go back to the Test cycles page

Expected result:

There should be 15 tests in this newly cloned test cycle

Actual result:

No tests appear here, only when you click the link for the test cycle

Hi,

This is in the Zephyr for Jira Cloud Version.

Thanks

Hi Oliver

We tried reproducing the issue but we are observing the same test cases in the cloned cycle even after selecting 5 or more from atleast 100 test cases in the cloned cycle.

We would suggest you to raise a ticket with us as mentioned earlier so that we can further troubleshoot this issue in your environment.

Also we wanted to to check if you re indexed Jira and Zephyr for Jira and see if the test cases were present even after performing the below steps

Re-indexing JIRA :

1.Log in as a user with the 'JIRA Administrators' global permission.
2.Choose Administration > System
3.Select Advanced > Indexing on the left pane to open the Indexing Page
4.This page allows you to choose one of the following two re-indexing options:
a. Background re-index — This will re-index all issues in the background.
b. Lock JIRA and rebuild index — This will delete and rebuild all indices, including the comment and change history indices.
5.Select Background re-index and Click on Re-Index.
This will complete re-indexing JIRA.

Re-index Zephyr for JIRA:
1. In JIRA Administration, navigate to the Plugins Menu item.
2. Select the menu item "Zephyr for JIRA" under Add-ons.
3. In the General Configuration Screen that comes up, click "Re-Index."

Hi Oliver

Thanks for your interest in Zephyr.

Can you let us know if it is Zephyr for Jira server or if its the cloud version you are using so that we can kick off our investigation if its still an issue in your instance?

Also we would suggest in future for faster resolutions on cases like these please contact our Zephyr support team (24 X 5) by raising a ticket with them.Login/Sign up to  our support site "https://support.getzephyr.com/hc/en-us"and use the option "Submit a case" to raise a ticket with us and one of our engineers would contact you immediately

Thanks
