Hi, just bought Zephyr for our JIRA OnDemand service. We are getting conflicting messages about whether this plug-in is compatible with OnDemand. It is not visible within our interface but, then again, we wouldn't have the ability to enable this plug-in if it was not compatible.

Please advise.

I'm not sure where you might be seeing "conflicting messages", the docs are clear that it's installable (from your OnDemand account, of course), and hence compatible and supported. Once enabled in your account, you configure it as per https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Connecting+Zephyr+with+JIRA+OnDemand - could you look through that and tell us where it is failing?

Thanks Nic. I have followed this procedure but don't seem to find where I can set up or access Zephyr. Some of the documentation mentions that a third tab will be added next to Issues and Agile (we also have GreeHopper), but this tab doesn't get added. Once the plug-in is enabled, how do we access the Zephyr screens?

The conflicting messages are from the Zephy documentation here - https://zephyrdocs.atlassian.net/wiki/display/ZTD/Installation.

for the link quoted above, you need to remove the ".' from the end

I think you've got the wrong one. The doc you've pointed at is very clear that that particular Zephyr plugin is NOT for OnDemand, which makes sense as you can't install plugins in OnDemand, you can only work with the pre-installed ones. If you have bought it outside your OnDemand account, you have got the wrong thing. If you have bought it through your OnDemand account, it should appear as documented. If not, then contact OnDemand support, as there's something wrong with your account (or it's been withdrawn)

Zephyr has two plugins available in the Atlassian Marketplace. One is preinstalled in On-Demand while the other isn't able to be installed in an On-Demand Instance.

The pre-installed plugin that you see is used only when you purchase the Zephyr Enterprise Edition or use the free Community Edition. These are seperate plugins and don't do the same thing.

For a visualization, search for Zephyr on the Marketplace.

The Zephyr Enterprise Connecter comes with On-Demand and assists in sending defect-centric metrics to the Zephyr Dashboards.

The Zephyr for JIRA product, which is the one you are looking as you have mentioned the "Test" menu item, isn't available for JIRA On-Demand.

All three products can be reviewed here:

Kind Regards,

Makes sense - thanks
