Zephyr Test Cases in Jira, not able to extract defects linked to Test Case Execution

Rob Duncan June 2, 2013

For Zephyr Test Cases in Jira, what JQL function do I use to find defects linked to Test Cases if the defect has been logged against the Test Execution (not the Test Step)?

If we use the Jira Linking we can use JQL Tricks function for hasLinks and can report by link type however as Zephyr uses 'Affects test execution of' which does not appear to be a link type this function does not work.

Hi,

There is a Defect Count Zephyr Report in Custom Reports for Zephyr plugin. You can try it.

You cannot - at least yet - to my understanding.

In JIRA you have test cases, defects, but the integration with Zephyr test cycles is very limited. You cannot query based on how your test progresses or what cycles they are in.

Zephyr comes with a few dashboards which may get you some of the way, but it's still very limited. Especially the test cycle overview where you have to navigate only 10 issues at a time (Prev | Next), with scrolling which is quite buggy.

Cheers,

Finn
